Just one complaint! The DVD was stuck to its cover which was glued at the end of the book! Had to scratch that off the DVD, fortunately, the DVD worked, hence, I didn't contact the seller!I have attached the picture of the paper that was stuck on the DVD!I wouldn't mind if the seller reads my review and sends me a new DVD, as I was a little unhappy!Besides, that the book is good and I feel I am actually learning something.

I suck at math. Out of all the material Magoosh, the Manhattan 5 pound book-which was too large and over the top, the Princeton Review, the GRE for Dummies, this was the one book I should of had from the beginning. I took the GRE twice, my second time around was with this book and my score went up 10 points on my quant. Magoosh is good but was overwhelming with all the videos takes forever to watch and by the way I did the 99 dollar deal. Don't get me wrong Magoosh was great if you haven't been in school for a while. But, this book gets to the point and teaches you the basics and beyond that I would sign up with Magoosh to do their practice test only. If I was to take the test again, I would really just get this book, finish the book, and make sure you sign up online with their free testing with the book. You get a lot of practice which is just like the real test, you have several times to practice any part of the test(Quant and Verbal and Reading) and the whole thing, there are many options. I would not buy any other book seriously, I wasted so much money. And, if you have the time to finish all the practice test on this site, and still do not feel confident, than that is when I would pay the 99 dollars for the quant part only. I felt that Magoosh did not cover the reading and verbal and the writing as much as this book did, but Magoosh went well above and beyond for the math. The math teacher on Magoosh is a genius, you do learn shortcuts, but if you do not know the basics of math, he goes pretty fast through everything. Seriously, I think you can do really well with just this book and nothing else. Good luck to everyone!:)

Scored in the 82nd percentile with this book including 98th percentile on the writing portion. HIGHLY recommended for the Verbal and Writing sections. The math section went into great detail on how to solve problems, but it lacked the volume of practice problems necessary for me to learn (everyone's slightly different in their learning) and I did not feel that the math portion of the practice tests were represented well in comparison to the real test. The Manhattan "5lb" book is a great addition and compliment to this Kaplan book. Overall, very highly recommended. I read quite a bit of reviews online and this book received harsh criticism but I found it to be very helpful.

I was already 99th percentile in Verbal, but my Quantitative sucked. With this book (and no other resources) I went from a 123 to a 159 on Quantitative.

The reason I can't give it 5 stars was because the organization of the quantitative section of the book itself was god-awful. Most of what I learned, I learned by getting answers wrong on the online practice tests (included with the book) and then reading the online explanation. At least twice I googled formulae because I thought the book didn't contain them, only to find that it had them in a blurb in the glossary but no where else.

I really like this book! The thing that I found the most helpful was that you don't even really need the book for studying which is really helpful since I'm always on the go. You get an e-book copy of it that you can put on any device. You also get access to the Kaplan Study App for mobile. It's nice just to have flashcards to use (I think the set has 500). The best part of this bundle in my opinion is that you get access to all of the online material. This not only includes multiple, full-length practice tests, but also includes just math and English tests! I highly recommend this bundle to anyone that is looking for a bit of everything!

This book is awesome; when I bought it, I didn't really comprehend how much content was included. There's tons of practice sets and tests to take and the computer portion included on the disk is a nice feature, given that the actual GRE is on a computer.
The other thing I really like about this book, is how thoroughly it explains the structure, methods, and goals of the test makers. There's a methodology they use to keep the test versions consistent and it's really useful to know that.
Finally, so long as you have the wherewithal to do a book on your own, a practice book is way cheaper than a $1000 practice course or tutor

The price seems higher at 1600+, but gives a host of features few others could match!
Pros:
1. It has 10 practise sets each for verbal and quantitative total 400 questions online
2. 5 practise sets for analytical writing (each set containing 2 questions)
3. Quiz bank from where u can choose which specific topics to practice like this: algebra-high difficulty-number of questions(6 or 11)-timed/untimed (everything is customisable).
NOTE: Apart from online resources, book also contains a wealth of questions with detailed explanations.
4. GRE vocabulary: unlike others, they have grouped 600+ frequently occurring words in thesaurus fashion which wud be hugely beneficial for sentence equivalence.
5. Thorough guidance on how to approach analytical essays, with foundation lessons in the beginning (similarly for both verbal ND quants).

I need to admit here that I used only half of these resources! But scored 320/340 in GRE exam with exactly 2 months of prep, NO training institutes involved😁.

In addition to what's given in this book, I learnt some more words (read: 1300 words) from www.wordsinasentence.com which equally helped me in verbal section.

Cons: NOTHING😃

Verdict: GO 4 it. period.
